Manage safety risks of surrounding buildings during tunnel construction in Hanoi city
Abstract
Hanoi City is accelerating the process of urban modernization, and the importance of improving transportation infrastructure is undeniable. This promotes urban transportation development and meets Hanoi city's specific requirements. However, the impact of constructing the urban tunnel system on surrounding structures is not tiny. This poses significant challenges in construction, requiring measures to control settlement and tilt of above-ground construction works to ensure safety and efficiency for the entire tunnel system and surrounding environment. This article aims to evaluate the impact of the subway line's construction on surrounding buildings and propose appropriate management and protection methods. In this way, we can create precise and practical guidelines to promote urban transport infrastructure's sustainable and efficient construction.
