Factors affecting the success of irrigation projects in the Can Tho city
Abstract
In recent years, irrigation projects in Can Tho City have been implemented by investors and state management agencies. However, a project management agency is needed to coordinate project implementation according to the approved plan. The implementation of ideas in practice is always accompanied by challenges and obstacles that arise throughout the construction investment project. If these issues are not handled promptly and thoroughly, they will affect the project's goals. Not reaching the project's goals will make the project unsuccessful, wasting time, money, and effort. Therefore, to steer the project according to the proposed plan, it is essential to consider why it is unsuccessful. Factors that influence the success of irrigation projects in Can Tho City were studied through data collection, expert interviews, and stakeholder surveys. The survey data are calculated using rough set theory. The results identified the main factors influencing the success of irrigation projects and the relationships between those factors. From there, plans and solutions are proposed to handle and limit the impact of those factors on irrigation projects.
