Abstract

The final investment capital value plays an important role in evaluating the investment effectiveness of a construction project, especially for construction projects using state capital. Therefore, the paper aims to study the key factors affecting the investment capital of completed construction projects in Tay Son district of Binh Dinh province. Based on a literature review and survey with construction professionals, the authors point out six groups of important factors related to the final project investment capital namely owner, consultant, contractor, legal documents, project finance, and project-specific factors. Research conducted to survey most of the construction projects (using state capital) in eleven communes of Tay Son district. The preliminary findings will help project stakeholders to identify the root causes affecting the final investment value of a construction project in the locality. Through this, specific solutions are proposed to effectively manage the state project investment capital.
