Calculation of fire resistance limit of partially encased composite beam
Abstract
The article gives a preliminary introduction to partially partially encased composite beam, preliminary advantages of beams. This paper presents the calculation of the fire resistance limit of partially encased composite beam by tabular method, simple method according to EN -1994. Calculation examples using tabular method and the simple method are made for illustration. Calculation by simple method with some beam cross section to find the most suitable beam cross section. The tabular method is compared with the simple method. The article makes suggestions to apply the above methods in practice. It is recommended to apply the above two methods to choose the most suitable section of the partially encased composite beam.
