RESEARCH AND EVALUATION OF SOME COMMONLY METHODS AND TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF BUILDING MATERIALS

Lê Tuấn Anh , Lê Cao Chiến , Lê Thị Song

Abstract

The thermal conductivity of material is an important parameter to evaluate the material's thermal insulation ability. This paper presents the methods and equipment used to determine the thermal conductivity of materials. In addition, specific research results on the thermal conductivity of some building materials such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, gypsum board, rock wool and polyurethane (PU) board and autoclaved aerated concrete using three devices including the guarded hot plate apparaturs GHP 900S, the heat flow meter HFM300 and the Hot Disk TPS2200 are also discussed.
